We are a dedicated short-run book printer with our own production facility near Exeter, Devon. For over 30 years we have been helping authors, publishers, and businesses produce professional books entirely in-house.
We started printing books for our parent publishing company, Imprint Academic, in the late 1990s. The need was simple: produce short runs of academic books quickly and to a high standard without the minimum quantities demanded by offset lithography.
By 2007 we were producing books for well-known publishers and self-publishing individuals across the UK. Today we serve publishers, authors, charities, corporations and universities — all from our purpose-built facility in the Devon countryside.
Everything we produce is made in-house. We have never outsourced and we never will — it is the foundation of everything we do.
Every stage — print, bind, finish, pack — is handled by our own team on-site. You deal with one company, your book never leaves our care until it is dispatched to you.
We were built for short-run work. There is no penalty for small quantities — the same quality and care goes into 10 copies as 10,000.
Our Universe sewing machine means every hardback, and many of our paperbacks, are thread-sewn — the strongest binding method available, from just 10 copies.
If any book fails to meet our own quality standards, we reprint it at no additional cost or delay to you. No quibble, no admin, no excuses.
